Download the app
Download it free: you get 30 days with everything switched on. Make your account when the app first opens (or sign in, if you bought already).
Mac: macOS 12 or later. There’s a download for Apple silicon (M1 or newer) and one for Intel Macs: Apple menu › About This Mac says which you have. Open the download and drag Scoreboard Live into Applications.
iPhone: the iPhone app is coming to the App Store. It streams a game on its own with one camera, and keeps score for a Mac.
Getting set up
What do I need?
A Mac running macOS 12 or later, Apple silicon or Intel. Plus a camera and an internet connection. A webcam or a camcorder over USB both work. A phone hotspot is enough for most games.
The Mac says it can't open the app.
The first time only, right-click Scoreboard Live in Applications and choose Open, then Open again. After that it opens normally.
It asked for the camera and microphone.
Choose Allow. The app needs them to send your picture and sound to the stream. You can change this later in System Settings, Privacy & Security.
Do I need other streaming software?
No. The streaming engine is built in and runs in the background. If you already have your own stream setup, you can connect it instead.
Going live
Where do I get a stream key?
From the platform you're streaming to. On Facebook it's in Live Producer, on YouTube in YouTube Studio under Go live. Copy the key and paste it into the app once. The app has links to both pages.
Can I stream to Facebook and YouTube at the same time?
Yes. Add each place you want to stream to, and one Go live button sends to all of them.
How do I check it works before the game?
Use the pre-game check. It tests the camera, microphone and connection without going live.
During the game
I scored the wrong team.
Press Undo under that team's score. Everything that followed the mistake is put back too.
How do I let someone else keep score?
Open Remote, then have them scan the code with their phone. Their phone needs to be on the same Wi-Fi as the Mac.
The internet dropped.
Keep going. The game keeps recording on your Mac, and the stream picks up again when the connection comes back.

Can I get my money back?
Yes: tell us within 14 days of buying and we refund you. Best of all, try it free for 30 days first.
How do I buy?
Press Buy in the app. It opens your account on our website: sign in with your email and password, type the 6-digit code we email you, add your mobile number and buy. There's no key to type: the licence switches on in the app on the same account. Can't find the code? Check your spam folder.

Are updates free?
For 3 years from when you buy. After that the app keeps working; renew any time for another 3 years, at the same price.
Something's wrong
The scoreboard isn't showing on the stream.
Check the Display menu in the top bar and make sure the scoreboard is switched on.
Send us diagnostics.
In the app, open Settings, then Help, and choose Save diagnostics. It saves a file you can attach to an email. It doesn't include your stream key.
